Poles thanked «Universalna»
2006-09-14Natalia Bezbakh, Director General of OJSC «Insurance company «Universalna» received official acknowledgement from Yan Bury, the president of «Wzarastanie» foundation, and also from officials of Lviv region authorities. The acknowledgement mentions considerable support provided by «Universalna» in implementation of the first Ukrainian- Polish project «Partnership for the sake of children».
In the beginning of July 20 Ukrainian children-orphans and children from poor families of Lviv region under tutelage of volunteering tutors left for Poland. During a fortnight Ukrainian children lived together with 20 Polish children-orphans in Lopushka Mala. Entertaining and cognitive program waited for them in Poland. Thus, in a week Poles came to Ukraine, where they live together with Ukrainians near the Carpathian Mountains.
Organizers of the event – the presidents of the «Wzrastanie» foundation – Yan Bury, «Partnerstwo na rzecz demokracij» foundation Yaroslav Yurkevych, head of Youth Christian Organizattion «Bethany» – Taras Yatsenko, and also the author of the project idea, journalist of «Radio Zheshuv» Marek Tsynkar, unanimously emphasized the fact that realization of their project is the first robin concerning pupils and students interchange recently declared by Ukrainian and Polish presidents.
The project was supported by Lviv Region State Administration, City Council, and Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church – on one side and Consulate general of the USA in Krakow - from Polish side, and also Ukrainian and Polish businessmen.
